MS. LATA DASWANI Chief Executive Officer, Everest Fleet Private Limited

Lata is a Chartered Accountant and an alumnus of Harvard Business School. Her career path has been a compelling ride. Currently, she works as a CEO at Everest Fleet Pvt Ltd., a role that she decided to take up after spending 20 years as a Tax Professional with leadership positions in MNCs in the financial services sector. Before joining Everest, Lata was working as a Director & Head of Tax for India and South East Asia at Bank of America group. She has also worked with Capgemini, Morgan Stanley, Barclays Bank and Citigroup in the past. Based on her experience and tax expertise she was invited to serve as a member of GST Core Committee for Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) from 2019 to 2021. She has also worked on variety of tax advocacy initiatives with various tax forums as well as Indian Finance Ministry as a representative from her respective organisations. Lata is passionate about working with purpose driven organisations and believes that an organisation’s culture and its people are the most important factors for its growth and success. Her current organisation, Everest fleet, is driven about creating entrepreneurial opportunities for unorganised sector with a deep focus on environmentally sustainable mobility solutions. Lata is an avid Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) contributor, a well-recognised mentor to youth as well as to some companies and plays an impactful role in the space of social entrepreneurship. Lata has recently won Indian Achievers Award for her above mentioned contributions and professional success in her field as well as for the social causes she has been supporting.
